I have been terrible lately about blogging. This time of year is always so busy for us and this year is definitely not any different.
Since the last time I blogged Zane had his birthday. We were in Thief River for Memorial day weekend. Zane’s birthday landed on Memorial day this year so we celebrated while we were at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. It was lots of fun. The boys all went to the local water-park for the day and enjoyed every second of it. Zane and Isaiah even got to go down the big kid water slide by themselves! They were so proud of themselves! 
We came home on Zane’s birthday and had a good time celebrating at our house when we got home. The boys’ big gift this year was a membership to the local zoos. The family pass is good for 3 zoos that are somewhat close to where we live. Both boys were very excited about that!!
Between the boys’ birthday we had a ‘bug’ birthday party for them. They had SUCH a good time. It was a miserable rainy day so we had to do everything inside our house, but it worked out just fine. We had a bug cake, caterpillar grapes, spider oreos, bug antennas instead of birthday hats, and a spider/bug toilet paper wrapping game. Having a themed party was so much fun and the boys really seemed to be thrilled to have their friends come over to celebrate their birthdays. I think Travis and I were blessed to see how excited the boys were and to see them enjoying their friends! It is definitely something we will do again. Who knows what next years party will be, but I am sure it will be just as fun!
Then after the big bug birthday party was Tate’s actual birthday. We enjoyed his special day with him by having pizza and rice crispy treats instead of cake, since we were all sick of cake from the two weeks before! It was a fun day! The best part of the day was when Tater opened his soccer bank that we had gotten. (Zane had gotten a basketball one for his birthday) and he said, “Ahhh…I have been waiting for this!” It was really sweet!
I am really having a hard time believing that my baby boys are 4 and 5 already! The time really does go so fast! It is such a joy to have such sweet boys though. Travis and I are truly blessed to get to enjoy Zane and Tate as they grow and change. I never thought parenting would be this awesome!!! Now we just wait til August for the next round of birthdays!
